This year, Red Rescue is bringing back the Lifesaving School Holiday Camp 2025—an exciting opportunity for children to develop water safety knowledge, first aid awareness, and real rescue techniques. What is a School Holiday Camp?
A school holiday camp is a specially designed program held during school breaks that combines fun with hands-on learning. In this case, the camp focuses on lifesaving education, giving children the chance to earn certifications, learn rescue methods, and understand how to respond in emergencies.
Moreover, it’s a great way for kids to stay active, social, and mentally engaged during the holidays.
What Will They Learn?
Red Rescue’s Lifesaving School Holiday Camp 2025 features two structured programs tailored for different age groups and experience levels.
1. Lifeguard Junior Certification
This program is designed for children who want to gain advanced lifesaving knowledge and experience. Participants will explore: Drowning Case Studies – Understanding real-life drowning incidents and prevention methods.
- Advanced Land Rescue – Mastering rescue techniques without entering the water.
- First Aid & Oxygen Training – Learning basic first aid, CPR, and oxygen administration.
- Lifesaving Water Entry Technique – Safe and effective water entry strategies for rescues.
2. Poolside Superheroes
Ideal for younger children, this program introduces basic water safety awareness and rescue techniques. Participants will discover: Identifying a Drowning Victim – Recognizing the signs of drowning.
- Safety Pool Awareness – Understanding pool safety rules and precautions.
- Steps to Basic Rescues – Simple but effective rescue methods.
- Ambulance Calling Steps – Knowing how to call for help and what information to provide.
