On Saturday, July 6, Polytechnic Students Save Children from Drowning using their basic life-saving skills to rescue two children from drowning at Pulau Perhentian, near Besut.

The Higher Education Ministry reported that the heroic students, Ahmad Danial Safwan Ahmad Safri from Politeknik Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah in Kuantan, Pahang; Naufal Zahari from Politeknik Sandakan, Sabah; and Mohamad Haikal Danis Mohamad Nasir from Politeknik Seberang Perai, Penang, who is the polytechnic students save children from drowning by acted swiftly during the emergency

“During the incident, the three students engaged in group activities nearby,” the ministry stated.

When they noticed the two children, around nine years old, struggling in the water, the students immediately sprang into action. The student confirmed that the children still breathed although one child vomited severely and appeared weak.

“Mohamad Haikal expressed gratitude that they successfully saved the two children,” the ministry added.
